Loch Kelly – Effortless Mindfulness

Loch Kelly is a licensed psychotherapist and recognized leader in the field of meditation and awakening. He is the founder of the non-profit Open-Hearted Awareness Institute and the author of the award-winning book The Way of Effortless Mindfulness. We speak about the difference between deliberate and effortless mindfulness. Loch tells the story of being a hockey goalie with eyes in the neck. We speak about awake awareness, that is not thought based and how we often overlook it. We explore how we can discover another upgraded operative system that’s already installed. Loch gives a mindful glimpse of what’s here if there’s no problem to solve? The need to leave the witness protection program. That the practice is not about being free from feelings, but rather to be free to have them all. Loch ends our conversation by guiding a meditation where we shift from head to heart space.
